It kind of sounds unlikely, however, you can save quite some energy with our Simplex tea kettles. On our gas stove I boiled 1 liter of water in our old conventional tea kettle and the same amount in our new Simplex. The Simplex whistled in 4 minutes 42 seconds and the conventional tea kettle in 7 minutes 25 seconds. That is 58% faster. Drinking a cup of tea twice a day saves you almost 5.5 minutes in energy per day. Plus...you get your nice hot tea or hot chocolate so much faster.
